5th edition of the ‘Milk as a Driver of Development’ International Meeting

Our appearances

Vincent Chatellier is a member of the organising committee for the 5th edition of the International Meeting 'Milk as a Driver of Development', which will take place in Saly, Senegal, from May 12 to 14, 2026. This edition is beeing organized jointly by ISRA, Cirad, and INRAE, with the support of several partners.

In a global context marked by multiple crises, the dairy sector is facing growing uncertainty and instability, with risks and consequences including an increase in malnutrition and hunger. These meetings will address all aspects of dairy development by giving a voice to scientists, international organizations, as well as field actors and economic and political decision-makers, both in the Global North and the Global South.

Vincent Chatellier is chairing Session 3, entitled 'Dairy Product Markets and the Role of Farmers: From Local to Global', and will speak on the topic: 'The Dynamics of Global Dairy Trade: The Role of the European Union and West Africa'.
