Kofivi Dzegle's PhD focuses on emerging agricultural micro-sectors and questions their influence on the sustainable development of a territory. The thesis will mobilize empirical (treatment effects methods, panel models) and theoretical (total factor productivity models) approaches to identify the specific effects of environmental performance on the economic performance indicators of dairy cattle farms in Brittany. Depending on the data available, research is planned on different types of services: greenhouse gas emissions, water quality (nitrogen, pesticides), biodiversity. Finally, part of the thesis will be devoted to the prospects for integrating remuneration for environmental services into the development of long-term public policies, in a results-based approach. The thesis is co-financed by the Brittany region and INRAE's EcoSocio department, and is co-supervised by Aude Ridier and Isabelle Piot-Lepetit.
