Collective Scientific Expert : The roles and impacts of European livestock farms and their products and the environmental, economic and social services they provide

NRA presented the key findings of its collective scientific expert report on the roles, impacts and environmental, economic and social services provided by European livestock farms and their products.

The French Ministries for the Environment and Agriculture and ADEME (Environment and Energy Management Agency) commissioned INRA to initiate a collective scientific expert study, involving members of UMR SMART-Lereco, to focus on this issue and produce a response based on a synthesis of the international scientific literature and a panorama of European data. The resulting report has analysed these impacts and services in terms of three dimensions of sustainable development: economic, environmental and socio-cultural. Results have been presented and discussed on Novembre 30th, 2016 in Paris.
