PhD topic

Modelling the transition of agri-food systems: between planetary boundaries and social justice.

This PhD is focused on the agricultural modelling and the socio-economic analysis of the French and European agri-food sectors. First, the impacts of an agroecological transition of European agriculture on land use, trade balance and food security in the EU and other regions of the world will be studied. Then, the consequences of such a transition will be evaluated from a socio-economic point of view in the French and European agri-food sector. Finally, the consequences of trade protection measures adopted by an agro-ecological Europe will be studied in terms of trade balance, food prices, employment, and farmers’ income.
