PhD topic

Work organization and decision to implement alternative practices to pesticides in farms with livestock

This PhD aims to study the role of work organization in the decision of farmers who wish to stop using pesticides. Indeed, using pesticides is nowadays controversial, because of their impact on health and on the environment. The Breton farms combining crop and livestock production are studied in this work, which should contribute to inform public and private decision-makers on concrete solutions to remove pesticides and on their economic impacts.  This PhD is co-financed by the FAST project and the Brittany Region.
